The Montgomery Chapter of the AIA particpates in the following school programs teaching youth about the importance of architecture.

Draw Montgomery Art Competition
A juried art exhibition open to ALL students in the River Region area in grades 7-12. Entrants are encouraged to use the wealth of historic buildings and architectural styles found in and around the Montgomery Downtown and Riverfront areas. Look carefully at our city and creatively interpret what you see. Convey awareness of good design and its impact.

Media accepted: Any two-dimensional medium including but not limited to photography, pencil, ink, acrylics, etc. Entries will be exhibited in the Armory Learning Arts Center Gallery in May. Cash prizes will be awarded in each division.

Divisions are grades 7-9 and 10-12.
